Just Like Mama

Inspired by Tara Whitney's layout in Simple Scrapbooks magazine, Jan/Feb '06 issue. (sorry about the wonky scan.)

"Dear Lord, help me to be just like Mama. "

Journaling on back:
Elizabeth, I love hearing your sweet little voice expressing faith in the Lord when you pray. One night, during bedtime prayers you said, "Dear Lord, help me to be just like Mama." I was instantly humbled. I prayed, "No, Lord, not like me! I have so many faults. I stumble and fall. I struggle. Please, Lord, don't make her like me. Help her to be like You. Yes, Jesus. I want her to be just like You."

Since that prayer, I've realized how you watch me closely and how you want to emulate me. It challenges me to be a better mom and Christian. I pray that my life is one that glorifies the Lord. I want to be like Jesus. My prayer for you, Elizabeth, is that you will want to be like Him, too.

Love,
Mama

I absolutely LOVE this photo! It's so beautiful! I am very curious about digital scrapbooking since I have ten years worth of digital photos. I'd love to talk to you about it and get your opinion!
